Default Early Access period is TOO short for International customers!

I preordered my Collector's Edition from the US (several months ago) and I will receive it only next week. I'm really disappointed that I am now blocked from the game and cannot play for the entire weekend. ArenaNet should have considered this situation as I assume most International customers still haven't gotten their retail boxes!

Please extend the "grace" period.

Thank you!

Hey KAINSHADOW - that's a new picture of Elric of Melniboné that you have there as your avatar

Yes, I'm from Hungary and it's the same here, as the Collector's Editions are still not available locally, and the shipments from abroad (to those who preordered from there) haven't arrived yet.

That's incorrect. It was supposed to end on April 28th 11:59PM PST, and not 27th as you claim. So it's only 5 and a half hours longer now than what was announced. See this official statement:

I've preordered a long time ago (Nov 2004) when Euro pre order didn't exist.
I have bought the full game, so I'm not asking for free play time.
It shipped in time but I won't get my retail box until next week.
Punished for be supportive.

They can't know which pre-order customers actually have bought the game, that information isn't stored anyway.

My us-import just arrived this morning, in the nick of time

I'm an international player too, but unfortunately I disagree with you. Extending the Pre-Order Playing Days from 2 to 4 (or more) won't help you, since you won't get the game in time. Just accept that Anet/NCsoft/TheCompany tought about it's Euro-customers a bit too late and wait. It's nearly impossible for ArenaNet to extend the Early Access-Period, unless they make it a 2 month-Period, because by that time everyone that ordered will have the retail copy with the key.

@DigitalX:
Your post makes no sense.

I'm NOT an international customer and I just got cut off from the game! My retail box was preordered from EB back in February and the tracking system says it was shipped on the 22...still no box, no code, so no game...not nearly the wait you face, but you have my sympathy...

I ordered on the first of April from Gamestop. Apparently there was some issue with the credit card, since they dont charge immediately(which i didnt like, but i guess some people do) and they didnt notify me that there was a problem until today when i recieved 2 emails after emailing them and calling several times. Well, i finally resolved the issue, but I am still cut off from the game til I get my copy, which might be today, as Im on hold with Wal-mart right now trying to go pick up another copy, then Im going to sell the one I recieve to a friend. Either way the grace period should have been a whole weekend. This would have been better anyway even for those that didnt actually pre-order. They would build their characters all the way up and then not want to let go, so theyd have to go buy it...

Default Arena Net dropped the ball -- pre-order cut off should be extended

I ordered from best buy about 2 months ago; they finally just shipped it, but there isn't any tracking information yet. I called customer service and complained -- they said that Arena Net just got them the copies a day or two earlier and that it takes time to fulfill orders.

I concur with those other people who are overseas or who did mail order. I probably won't get my Collectors Edition (yea, I even paid extra for this serious annoyance) till probably mid next week. It _would_ be nice to be able to play this weekend. *sigh*

Arena Net should have either set the release date so that their channels have time; or they should have extended the pre-order cut-off.
